Rwanda Flights

On 13th April 2022 British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the "UK and Rwanda Migration and Economic Development Partnership" or "Rwanda Asylum Scheme". The scheme aims to transport migrants crossing the English channel to be relocated in Rwanda.

After a High Court challenge to try and stop flights to Rwanda it was decided that the scheme would still go ahead, with it's originally planned start date of Tuesday 14th June 2022.

This dashboard aims to track key metrics related to these flights, including the number of people deported, the cost of running the scheme and the environmental impact of the flights.
